some of umeda's skyscrapers, taken from an elevated crosswalk. i shudder to think what this same area will look like after The Big Quake hits (scenes from 'akira' come to mind). notice that i say "when" - there's very little doubt in anyone's mind that Japan is due for a *huge* earthquake, probably within the next 10 years. let's just hope it hits long after i've left. :[
