so - on this day i was heading up to umeda, another one of osaka's massive commerical hubs, this one located in the central northern part of the city. umeda (which actually means 'plum field', a name that couldn't be further from the truth these days) is reknowned as osaka's major business district, is typically very upscale and expensive, and is dotted with true skyscrapers. here's a shot from the train, featuring the typical sleeping person as well as a japanese schoolgirl.
