[No Assembly Firm. Chicago]
Music has always played a dominant role in Dan's life. While growing up in a musical family, Dan focused on developing his skills as a keyboard player and a percussionist. These talents were soon expanded and became the backbone for his future endeavors in music. Currently, Dan is working closely with Chicago house guru Justin Long under the moniker "No Assembly Firm". Since it's conception, N.A.F. has completed over two dozen projects for highly acclaimed labels including original and remix work for Classic, Music For Freaks, Aroma, Robsoul, Cajual, Doubledown, Hip Therapy, Greens Keepers Music and many more. Their studio work has been sought out by many and licensed to mix compilations for fellow heavy hitters including DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, Phil Weeks, Johnny Fiasco, Heather, Miles Maeda, Diz and Lance DeSardi. Dan is constantly refining himself as an artist, by taking on projects that challenge and influence his creative ability. With strong production credits and respect amongst his peers, Dan is following in the footsteps of Chicago's elite.
[Strictly Jungle. Chicago]
In the 90’s, Casper was the undisputed champion of atmospheric / Jazzy style of drum and bass in the U.S. While attending college in Boston, Casper was a resident at one of the first weekly drum and bass nights in the U.S. – Phuturistic Bluez’ Jungle Roots (aka Sessionz)- from 1995 to 1997. From 1996 to 1999, he maintained a residency on the longest running weekly drum and bass radio show in the country – Strictly Jungle Chicago on WNUR FM w/ Dj Snuggles. On the production tip, Casper worked with Chris J on several atmospheric d&b projects. Their track, “mysteries,” was released on LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records in 2001 under the alias Cascade. Two other tunes from that era – “Revelation” and “Symmetry” finally saw the light of day in 2003 on S.F. imprint True Intent.
