Charlie Don't Surf - Live
w/ Droids Attack, The Skintones, & more

Thursday June 28 2007

Tonight Inferno and WORT 89.9FM present CHARLIE DON'T SURF - LIVE. The music begins promptly when the bar opens at 9PM with an hour long DJ mix from JAKE SHUT, host of long running WORT radio show Charlie Donít Surf, featuring his trademark uptempo and underground mix of punk, indie rock, garage, metal, hardcore, stoner, hip hop, Americana, no wave and various obscure blasts from the past. The DJing is interrupted throughout the night for LIVE PERFORMANCES from three regional acts, handpicked by Jake Shut, who play their sets after 10PM. DROIDS ATTACK [Madison, WI] In a world of perpetual war and death, where pestilence and pop music kill our collective soul, one band of brothers may just save us all! Armed with metallic riffs, stoner savagery and terrifying tone, Droids Attack may be the best hope for the survival of humanity against the coming onslaught of mechanized, robotic pain. THE SKINTONES [rock / comedy / punk - Madison, WI] Continually refining their unholy trifecta of punk, metal and dark humor, the Skintones show no signs of slowing down three albums and nine years since their formation. DEAD END REJECTS [hardcore / punk - Madison, WI] Old school hardcore punk that sounds like Minor Threat with a drinking problem. Features current and former members of The Suit, Flywheel, Naked Aggression, Inspector 12 and Big Fat Ass. Tonight is also Jake's BIRTHDAY BASH, with FREE PABST while it lasts! Holy shit! Doors at 9PM, 21+ ID required. SMOKING is ALLOWED at Inferno! $1.50 SELECT PINTS and $1.50 RAIL MIXERS from 9-10PM.
