THE COLLECTIVE PRESENTS
THE INTERARTS MULTIMEDIA GALLERY
The Interarts Multimedia Gallery is a collection of both video and installation works presented under the collaboration of The Collective. Installation works will convert the space of the venue to suit the content of the video while single channel video works that include but are not limited to content based on personal narrative and dance for the camera will be shown separately on a movie screen as a DVD collection.
The Collective is a group of artists from Madison. These artists are Jeremy Wyse, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, Christy Brandl, Gabriel Brockman, Jason Bahling, Victor Johnson, and Andy Dayton. First presented to the Madison community as the producers of “My Great TV Show” on WYOU, the Collective has worked with a wide variety of media. Between the seven members, there has been significant exploration of multimedia installation, sound design, video art, interactive environments, and performance work.
Exploring and manipulating spaces that are not typically used for displaying art is one of the main goals of The Collective. “This is one of the best ways to get the attention of the community,” states event coordinator and Inferno DJ Jeremy Wyse, “and it’s an excellent opportunity to have our local community of artists get together to host an event that is atypical of the venue’s normal operations.”
The show is free and open to anyone age 21 and over. Call Jeremy Wyse at (608) 438-9218 for more information.
